A former blogoholic I have stopped the blog for now. I need to focus on teaching and living my life with my best Boo and pup! See you around the cybersphere!

Great streaming radio stations

I've posted on this before but I have found a new favourite. If you have Winamp be sure to check out Maxi Radio. There doesn't seem to be a website but you can find the stream inside the internet radio tab of the winamp player. You can also find it on Shoutcast's website (which uses winamp). It's a neat mix of current top 40 stuff, lesser known European rock, Eurodancepop, some French pop and a smattering of 80s, 90s and other stuff you'd not think would be in one particular station. All of this and no real on-air interruptions. The other nice thing is that it is very high quality (128k i think). As I have said before
"European radio knows no format - what one minute is a blistering dancefloor remix can easily be followed by Maroon 5's latest song that sounds just like their last one. But whitehat sorority girl rock is not the only offender - Europeans LOOOVE rap, hip-hop etc. The lack of format is not the problem though - it can serve as random amusement."
Unless of course you hear that damn Mr. Brightside for the 9 millioneth time (worse than even Hollaback Girl!) - that will just drive you crazy but what can you do, even the French and the Dutch are a little crazy...

(Random thought #1 - I love Amazon.com - they are brilliant marketers but also put out a very useful service! Check out their latest list service for DVD addicts like me...)
(Random thought #2 - When using Tea Tree Oil for cuts or scratches (works great on ingrown beard hairs too) be sure NOT to touch you eyes... TRUST me on this one... ouch!)

Ok, this is kind of a segue, but I have gotten into buying cd's on ebay. So many imports and the like are so expensive...I've found almost everything I've been looking for on ebay. I had kind of forgotten about ebay, but now I'm back. (I've heard it's great for buying porn, too, but of course I wouldn't know that from personal experience.)

I am a HUGE fan of WFMU, a freeform radio station that broadcasts to NYC (91.1) but offers a stream for the rest of us. Their playlist is all over the place...not sure how much electronica they dish out though. Not sure if that's even your music of choice these days, now that I think about it, but...

They have a great blog too!
