Jetrosexual

Ok so I am going to steal this from Chris - it was too good and applicable to pass up. Plus those who know me well - hell those who even just met me know that I am a travel fool!
Let's see how I rank and if I beat Chris ;-)
11. Check - been carrying my passport constantly since I worked at screwUSAirways in 1998.
10. Oh my this is hard - I have a couple favourite airports... Favourite in North America - well I have to say DCA (it is NOT to be called by that man's name!). Many people would say that - but I love it's closeness to the city, the approach for landing and of course the short runways which makes for fun take-off and landings. Europe - well this is harder. Either Madrid or Amsterdam - b/c of the little cafes all over the place serving real food, b/c of the cool architecture and most of all b/c of the cool computerized announcements in several languages :-) in AMS the Duty Free is legendary!
9. Most of the time I am as silent as a mute on sedatives -though on long flights, I may help the person next to me fill out their immigration card if they look confused or I am bored.
8. I am always super prepared for the line - I am usually all undressed and ready by the time I hit the area near the scanner. I used to be able to empty pockets and metal items all in a single flowing motion back in the old days before gestapo security!
7. Let's see: French, Japanese, German, Spanish (in several ways b/c Spain is different), Italian, Dutch, Brasilian Portuguese, Korean and I think that is it. Oh yeah, does English count?
6. For sure. Who would want to be confined in that space for more than 5?! Plus murphy's law says as soon as I go to use the bathroom - the plan starts to pitch and roll and the seatbelt light comes on! Without fail - happens everytime!
5. HA! - Easy as pie (an aside - what does this expression really mean? making your own pie crust is hard! My co-workers make fun of me since I can pack for an entire weeks's meeting in one rollerbag. I did Australia for 2 weeks in small duffel bag and small napsack!
4. Ok I fail on this one - I do and it actually helps. Well it helps with an Ambien and 2 bourbons...
3. Damn - I fail here too - they all have the same names. But I do have stamps from airports that don't exist anymore - like Nagoya's old airport - I can't wait to see the new one.
2. I wish I could do this one too - but I am getting better - I am on my way to earning upgrades and am always ready to snag a freebie if I volunteer my seat and they can't use me (this works on good carriers (non-US) like Lufthansa!)
1. Hell yes - anytime and for anywhere. I'm off. My old tagline used to be "If I could leave - I would!"
More on Jetrosexuals - And yes I am tied with Chris with on this with 8/11 but I have been to the 3rd world! (Does PG County count? - Just kidding!)
