Sneaky McSneaker
Haha, I didn't think I would be able to blog so soon but I have already weaseled my way out of a very boring meeting. The computers are having problems and our boxes got stuck in Montreal for 4 days by Fedex and they just arrived. I am not an essential part of the 1st meeting so they have left me unattended to "fix" the pcs and stuff registration packets - stuff most people with an ego wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole - but any excuse to be away from the boredom and those attitudes of the people I work with and for is a good excuse!
The only nice part of these trips is that we stay at decent hotels (Westin in this case - it is just OK - the bed is great and I am getting my points but the hotel is just eh compared to most Westins... I am Gold and they didn't upgrade me b/c they are incompetent here - no matter since the bed is comfy, I'd rather take the extra points they will give me for my botched upgrade anyhow) We also eat at very pricy restaurants and drink expensive wine. Last night was no different. I had jumbo local prawns and a salad and since they are paying I always get dessert - a rich chocolate flourless cake thing... Yum. I also drank some top shelf bourbon to start and then some expensive Barbera wine our Chairman ordered - I wasn't wowed at all esp for the price, but I generally dislike Italian wine despite my heritage. Gimme an Aussie, French or California anyday! The place was called Seven and was very nice - we go to Bish tonight. Halifax is very cute and the weather was great yesterday - I got to walk around some while the meeting planner dragged me along to the bars for the bar crawl (ugh) but at least we got outside and I got to see some of town for once... We are having a dinner at the Ellis Island of Canada called Pier 21 so I toured the exhibit for 5 mins so at least I did something cultural!
More later if I can steal more time. No word from the job yet but I wait in hope.
P.S. For the record I miss my boyfriend and friends already!

Jumbo "prawns"? Are you affecting a British accent & mannerisms now?
And remember a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips... no matter who's paying!!!
