Un peu de success au Canada | Some success in Canada

Je dois ecrire quelques mots en francais (Je suis a Montreal pour le moment - ma ville preferee au Canada - mais bien sur!) Selon moi, Montreal est ma preferee a cause de la persistance de la langue francaise ici. Elle ajoute un peu de l'espirit europeen mais toujours avec le vrai distinction Quebecois. Je suis au salon de "Maple Leaf Lounge" de Air Canada ici a l'aeroport de Montreal - je dois aller a ma correspondance (connection) apres 10 minutes.

In honour of being in Montreal (my favourite city in Canada) I felt the need to write a little in French. I am just in the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge - I am not a member but I managed to smile my way in with my United Premier card and the ignorance of the lounge staffer (I have a Tango Plus ticket -like premium economy- which gets you nothing except a lower change fee. But Latitude Plus gets you free lounge access - when the lady said my United card wouldn't work here I just mentioned I thought the "Plus" - note I didn't say what kindof plus - worked in the lounge. "Ah yes" she replied and waved me onto the free wifi, yogurt and coffee that abounds in this clean, quiet sanctuary amongst the bustling (even though it's early here!) aeroport. I have to say Canadian airports rock - super modern and aesthetically pleasing while also clean and efficient - thankfully smoking is banned inside these days - even in Montreal (to the horreur of the Quebecois!).

I am off to the gate to catch my connection to Halifax. Not sure when I can blog next but feel free to drop lines of encouragement, I will need them to get through the fatigue and extended hours of the meeting. I hope to hear about the job here in DC later in the week! :-) Fingers crossed.
