A former blogoholic I have stopped the blog for now. I need to focus on teaching and living my life with my best Boo and pup! See you around the cybersphere!

I'm baaaaack - Some pics from the Cape

So we are back from our very quick trip to the Cape. It was awesome! We had to get up very early going up and back so we were both pretty tired when we got there and back etc. But other than that it was SO nice to have some quiet time, without schedules, cell phones ringing etc. Just me and him - and it was great. We get along really well - he makes me laugh and I can't help but smile whenever I'm with him. People seem to notice too. We went to dinner in my little hometown in Dennis and must have been the only people under 50 in the restaurant - but everybody seemed to be smiling at us, in a good way. I mean it's completely normal for two guys to have dinner together (and I'll brave all the sassy comments here) and neither of us are flaaaaaaaaaaming queens - but people could tell we were not just two bro's having a spot of dinner! It was great. We went to P-town for the day on Wednesday and the weather could not have been more perfect!!! Like 75-80, no humidity (I love Cape Cod!) and slightly breezy. We just wandered around the little town, took pictures, talked, ate some food and just relaxed and moved at the pace of life. P-town is stunning. So gorgeous, charming and quaint. While it probably teems with way too many people in high season it was awesome this week. I would buy a house there in a second! It feels like a wonderful bubble of San Francisco & a little New England town combined. Acceptance and diversity is a wonderful thing - I couldn't help but smile even more by walking around with my guy!

I will say this about P-town however. I mentioned this to Dbud, to me it is a very different thing than the rest of the Cape. I will have a place in P-town someday I promise you. But I will also have my place in Dennis or elsewhere on the mid-Cape. The beaches are different than in P-town, much larger and a different charm. The lifestyle is also different. More spread out and definitely a different pace (though no less accepting I would say). I'm a stubborn New Englander so I'll always associate the Cape with what I grew up with and I will continue to. But I'm so glad I FINALLY went to P-town so I can start to enjoy what I consider a true gem and special place in this country. Yet another thing to make me a proud Masshole! (Take the quiz!)

(Ironic photo in P-town! LOL)

Oh the beauty of it all...

Two lovebirds having the earlybird dinner special... walking the beaches with Zimmerframes... swishing in the light breeze and the dwindling sunshine of an early autumnal evening....

Brings a tear to my eye
