Putting it behind me

So I'm moving on... the saga that was that miserable job needs to be put away. It's not quite over but I'm ready to stop talking about it. I have bigger and better things to put my time to. In fact I started my new job today! I just went in for a couple of hours and will do so 3 more times before my official start date. No doubt it will have its challenges but I am looking forward to doing something different! The people seem nice and the attitude is entirely different. It reminds me of when I was in school. I am excited to start and will be more excited to start planning for my application and enrollment in school in January :-) Oh and I have an office again, big window, brand new souped up computer and apparently I get free parking too! I don't plan to drive too much but that will come in handy so I can stay at the bf's house more and not have to worry about paying for a garage (since it's too hard to drive home, then haul back to the office in the morning). Neat.

Some other things...

I'm finally reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6) - I agree with everyone, it is definitely very dark. Actually it seems to mirror current times and political situations. I mean all the talk of extra security precautions and random attacks by Voldemort's followers - sound familiar? At any rate, I'm a big kid and it is hard not to get caught up in this book - even though someone commenting on another blog spoiled the ending for me! It is so nice to be able to read just for reading's sake. Fun stuff.

Dbud was telling me about this comedian Pam Ann and she sounds hysterical! They saw her on the "Big Gay Boat" cruise they just got back from. From what I have heard it is my kind of humor! Now I just need to find some clips to watch!
