Bush approval ratings hit a new low - well gosh darn it! The remnants of a tropical depression are passing over DC - maybe he can somehow use that or the New York subway warnings to boost it back up!? Oh wait - that seems to have stopped working... Maybe the public is waking up - slow as molasses on a cold winter morning but maybe...
I'm moving boxes and file cabinets this morning. I brought my handtruck (since we're off campus and the facilities people won't be bothered to come out & do their jobs - so much for being a union shop when the staff has to do it) had to drive in which was annoying b/c it is raining and you know DC in the rain - everyone panic, slam on your brakes, skid and cause accidents! LOL - sad but very true down here. You should see DC in snow (shudder) it's not a pleasant site!
But the upside - I am wearing jeans and sneakers - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Business casual (and I'm very casual usually) is great - I'm not complaining at all - I used to wear a suit 4 days a week and on business travel when I worked for USAirways... But I am truly my most comfortable in jeans and sneakers - well naked too but that wouldn't be appropriate for work. LOL I think my neighbours on 11th street would say the same for me at home too. I need to remember that the blinds are often open in the morning :-P
Crazy Japanese Fashion Spikes its way down the Runway - And I missed this yesterday (Junya Watanabe: Cyberpunk Dads)but how appropriate considering my thoughts on fashion this morning! LOL those Japanese are crazy - their take on things is very amusing. I lived there for a year and it was always very interesting. I was there during the whole "Japanese schoolgirls wearing loose socks" craze. Wild (weird too since girl often leave the house wearing regular socks, change them as soon as they leave, wear them while they commute to school and then change back into regular socks at school (many ban loose socks) and then repeat the process on the way home. Too much work!Happy Friday People.
