A former blogoholic I have stopped the blog for now. I need to focus on teaching and living my life with my best Boo and pup! See you around the cybersphere!

SC Johnson Wax must love me... spa workers hate me

It's been a busy couple of weeks and I've been looking for ways to relieve some stress. I was telling the boo about one way I found to ease the "pre-work" jitters and put me in the right mood- Airwick "Plug-Ins" - these lil gadgets may seem like just air freshener but relieve they are cheap sources of tension relief. I don't know how I lived without them before!

It may sound really gay (I guess straight men are scent-phobic if it doesn't smell like aftershave, I dunno I used to be like that too, but ever since I came out I've embraced my love of fresh-smelling air!!) and I know it sounds silly - how can a mere "plug-in" help me, say, get ready for work & take some of the pre-workday jitters? Well as they tout in their song "Plug it in, plug it in!" Now I know what you are going to say...

I too was skeptical until my friend Watusi (she loves all types of home appliances - she has a large obsession with vacuuming, all she really wants in life is a backpack vacuum like commercial cleaning crew use but that is another story for another day!) recommended the "Plug-in" Scented Oil Aromatherapy Spa collection. Boy were my eyes opened wide after my first experience (note to novices - start out small, the highest setting might make you a lil giddy, trust me!) it was like going to an aromatherapy spa (I'm too cheap) but for like 3 bucks! This was perfect. You really notice the difference as compared to other types of olefactory stimulation (snicker) ok that sounds dirty LOL. They key is to buy the following (the regular kinds are nice too but these will really stick it to your nose!):

Revitalization - Eucalyptus and Citrus
Relaxation - Lavender and Chamomile
Harmonization - Amber and Wild Rose
Cheap trip to Vermont - Evergreen
Fresh-squeezed eyeopener - Sparkling Citrus

Skip the vanilla fragances - they will make your house smell like a cross between an old lady and every college freshman girl's dormroom. Bleeeeech. While we're on the subject I hate the smell of tapioca too - yuck. Gives me a headache.

I know that was really random but it's been a long day and I noticed my lil scented oil container was low (plus I stumbled across that funny picture and had to work it in!). Somehow I thought a post about these might bring a smile to someone's face - plus I really am kindof obsessed with this things - I have a small drawer filled with them. I scoop them up whenever I see them on the sale rack and stock up. The boo prolly was a lil freaked out by all the air-fresheners but I think he's down with it now.

Plug-it-in and try it - you'll be surprised at how a lil Airwick can really put a smile on your face!

*Note: I don't work for the SC Johnson Wax company - I'm just mildly obsessed with cleaning products, candles and gadgets!
