Last Day Yay!

So today is a good day. I'm very chipper even though I'm a lil sleepy. That sweet boo of mine has been working at the same company for the last 8 years. He rapidly advanced through the ranks and has been kicking arse in one of the top 10 markets in his field. Everyone who works with him not only loves him but loves working with him (ain't he a golden boy :) But like most companies in America, the profiteers in charge grew complacent and well, karma has come back to roost today (with cake too!). The boo is going to his last day at his old job right now. And I know there is a big smile on his face b/c after his week off he starts a new job...

• At a bigger company, with household brand recognition... globally
• With better benefits, better pay, a union (yes!) and a downtown location
  
• Weekends off!!! (the has to have a line of it's own! I'm psyched)
• Cutting edge product starting to rock the industry, new challenges and less boredom
• One thin, he didn't get the job he initially interviewed for... :-(
  
• They made him the boss instead :-)

So besides the fact that he's my boo and all-around great (esp. with me) can we give him a shoutout of congratulations? An "amen," "hallelujah" or "testify" would work too...

I'll start... "Gelukwensen! Ik houd van jouw en ik ben trots van jouw!" (Dutch is optional)

PS. The gratuitous panda pic has nothing to do with the boo (tho they are both cute) I just haven't had a chance to cash in on both the blogwhoring value of the fuzzy lil "butterstick" (that's his name and I am sticking to it) and well even as cynical as I can be... who can resist not smiling at that lil guy. Adorable!
