Escape from New York
Today is the Boo's birthday. :-) We're back from New York and both happy and sane, tho still a little frozen.
We drove up on Friday and it was actually fun. We took a little sidetrip in search of a Xmas present I am going to make for one of my closest sistas. Of course this afforded us the opportunity to hit the Lincoln Tunnel square at rush hour. It was ok though - we made it! Driving in Manhattan in a SUV is an experience to say the least but we made it safe and sound and I only honked and said the f-word about a dozen times so all good in the hood I say!
And while it was ignantly windy and cold I had a great time with my boo and my sister Cookie. We went to the Met to see La Boheme and it was fantastique or should I say fantastico! (who can tell me why?)
Oh and I am ready for the beddy bye now but I will say I had a wonderful meal at Le Gigot in the West Village Friday night! It felt like Paris - it really did. And worth every penny but while the food was incredible (as was the wine!) the company was better! Try to check it out when you are ready for a treat and have someone special to take with you!
