You'd have to be on crack... Part 2

You'd have to be on crack NOT exclaim "Enough already!"

Great article in today's Washington Post - Memo to Barry: Enough!

Yet people in his District say that while they aren't surprised... and that they'd still vote for him again. I watched the ABC7 News at 11:00 tonight and I wasn't surprised at all - more disgusted and saddened. Even Leon Harris - a prominent African American reporter and anchorman appeared to shake his head as he finished his report.

Isn't it ironic that the part of the city with the worst drug problems have a repeat, un-repentant drug addict as their representative?

And what of all these wonderful achievements and things he strived for in his glorious past? What? And at what cost? Handing out freebies and cushy contacts to his cronies? Ohhhhhhh that's laudable (and before you say it - he's no saint because he gave them to the seemingly underprivleged). Can I get a list please? Really - show me how he helped this city! Compare his record with the current mayor's record - I DARE YOU.

Did the residents who think that he did SO much for the community by fighting to give away precious city resources, was actually screwing them and their children? Time after time again we see that for every dollar in graft it costs easily twice more in opportunity costs, lost revenues and lost savings.

Who pays for it? We all do. And the city's poorest and youngest residents get hit the hardest. Still think he's a saint? Still want to elect him again? For what? Holding your kids behind the rest of the country? Aren't you sick of being in the 1st city of the USA and having 2nd rate status?

Enough! Wake up DC - stop inhaling the secondhand effects of his supposed "charm" and put a stop to this madness!

I think he is more of a "local hero" than anything to people who vote for him. It's like a good soap opera and he's the prodigal son they want to see redeemed. A lot of people in DC relate to him a great deal more than Anthony Williams. (Hard to believe!)

Can't a man smoke crack in peace anymore? Drugs should be legal anyway. Free Mayor Barry!
