Happy Birthday Boys!

Today is their birthday. No, that is not incorrect English, these two guys were both born on the same day and in the same year! Both have all these weird things in common - like the Netherlands (yes it all comes back to the Dutch!) but that is a story for another time. But they have been together for more than 10 years now through good and not-so-good and that is something to celebrate.
There's been a big pink elephant in the room lately and I don't want to just ignore it. Life hasn't been the same and there is a lot going on. We've had some tense and sometimes heated moments, but this changes nothing. Life is hard, but the emotion it brings can be harder. Through it all though, as hard as it may be to see, one thing remains constant - my gratitude for having two best friends like these two in my life. If you have to find the good in every situation, I realize how much these guys mean to me, even when the going gets tough.
They are my beloved best friends. I love them both individually and also collectively. They were there for me during one of the hardest and also the most exciting times in my life. We have spent years laughing and having good times. Life being the challenge that it is, we have also had our share of tears as well. But what is important is that we have always been together. Problems will come and go but in the end there is always the bond of friendship and family.
When you have a moment today drop a comment here on my blog or on Dbud's blog to wish them well! Van harte gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag!

That's really the true meaning of friendship... Being there when the times are good AND bad. :)

I feel the exact same, Tos. Couldn't agree more. Thanks for the sentiments. I love you a lot.
Pink elephant? I have NO IDEA what you are talking about. ;-)

Rob and TJ, I don't know anything about you two except your names and that you've been great friends to Tos. Happy Birthday!
