El Pueblo Unido Hamas Sera Vencido!
The president and republicans need to stop pinning the blame on foreigners. Scapegoating these people does nothing except insult hardworking people who are just trying to barely feed their families. Isn't that what all those bible-thumping Evangelical republicans value most??? Families? Or is it only the nice white ones who go to church on Sunday while the fleet of illegally and poor paid maids scrub their toilets? This legislation is serious business. It harkens back to McCarthyism - you know the last time we tried to find a scapegoat for the country's problems? Congress needs to get its ass working on a solution to this trillion dollar black hole of death, destruction and waste of tax dollars - you know that war the oilman-turned-president led us into? BLAH!
I support those who are standing up for what they believe in. It is the American way. All the people who say that boycotting is unpatriotic, disruptive and bad - well I hope you don't take MLK day off next year... It is no different.
If you are inconvenienced today - don't blame an immigrant, blame the apathy of the Congress and administration. Then do something about it, call your elected officials.
Though a sidenote: for all your conservative Latino Christians out there who joined arms with the Republicans to "uphold" family values against those horrible gays and lesbians - maybe you'll think again before jumping into bed with devil no?

I wasn't inconvenienced today.
And, BTW, outside of DC, most of us DON'T get MLK day off.
I appreciate your passion. Really, I do. But I have to respectfully, disagree.
