A former blogoholic I have stopped the blog for now. I need to focus on teaching and living my life with my best Boo and pup! See you around the cybersphere!

Thanks for the Happy Birthday!

Hi all! Sorry for being MIA since my birthday. I will echo the chorus of many bloggers by saying - "what the hell is up with Blogger?!?!" I have been having the worst time accessing my blog, let alone my dashboard, comments and the blogs of my friends too. I know the service is free and you get what you pay for but... :-( I think it may be time to invest in a Moveable Type blog. Ugh I just need to find time to set it up, make it nice etc. But I think it is time to grow up...

Anyhoo - THANK YOU to all the fabulous well-wishers who emailed, commented, and shouted out to me on my birthday. That was really sweet and it made me feel great. I have always been one to appreciate those gestures, which on the surface seem simple, but for me are really deep and meaningful. I got misty several times so thank you all. I especially need to thank my best friend Dbud who had me sniffling at my desk and my sweet friend Matty who got me all hot and bottomed err I mean bothered...

I had a great couple days of birthday. Weds night I had class so I left work, went to class (which was long and a little slow) and then home to a wonderful homecooked meal from my Boo. It was exactly what I wanted - some nice food, quiet time and he also got me some fabulous presents :-) I enjoyed one of them yesterday - a blissfully relaxing massage which I so desperately needed! I also enjoyed some delicious cookies my family sent me and will definitely enjoy the Trader Joe's giftcard courtesy of Mama :-)

Then later last night I was treated to a wonderful repas at Bistrot Lepic in Upper Georgetown. I highly recommend it. If you like French food without the attitude, you will love the cozy yet authentic atmosphere and food of Bistrot Lepic. They even have a French-speaking waitstaff that is very friendly, not snobby and well, nice. It is the way French dining is like en France - c'etait parfait! And yes, we both had creme brulee at the end. YUM!
I do apologize, since I ate Bugs Bunny for dinner - but it was delicieux!!!!

So yes, my 30th birthday has been great. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many friends and family who treat me like royalty. The best birthday present of all is that Boo however. I can't even tell you how wonderful he makes me feel. I really do feel like the luckiest man in the world when I am with him. (*sigh*) but I'll stop there so I don't embarrass him too much. Oh by the way another big celebration is coming up....

HAPPY PRIDE! More on this later but I am so glad Pride is here. Not only is tomorrow the 1 year anniversary for that Boo and me :-) but it is a happy day for being proud of who you are. More on this later! Hope everyone is doing great!

LOL - that would be Aubrey, who used to do all the perfomances at Nation (yes you can see how old that photo is if I was a Nation regular) during "half-time" - her performances rocked actually... ah those were the days...
