Bask in the warm glow...















of cable TV!

At 7:30PM they showed up... I will be seeking compensatory damages in the form of free service but I'm glad it is now installed! (Boo is too ;-)
--Update--
After being on hold for another 15 minutes RCN customer service advised me that "they couldn't issue me any time of credit for a late or missed appointment. We just don't make any guarantee etc..." Of course I requested the Complaint Dept address.

But then I decided to go straight to the top. I called the executive offices (703) 434-8200, option 3 Customer Complaints Executive Resolution Team) A very nice lady picked up on the first ring, took down my complaint and issued me a $20 "on-time guarentee" credit noting that the previous customer service rep was WRONG. She also said she would forward my complaint on to the dispatch supervisor. A lot of work but at least I got something for it...

i love my cable. it's cheap entertainment. of course, i watch all of five channels overall normally. if a la carte service every comes into being, we're going to see a lot of these crap channels fall by the wayside (I'm not going to pay for QVC, AMC, or BET Jazz).
