Get out the blue tape!

Boo and I are painting the bathroom this weekend. I think we will be going with Manhattan Mist which is like a light, cool gray. But who knows - the last time I painted a bathroom I chose a beautiful sky blue. When it when on the wall it became more like Cotton Candy blue and earned the nickname "Baby's First Bathroom" until I covered it up (within a day!) with a nice gray...

So I am off today. My brain is dead and I can't read or write for class I need a lil break. So I screwed off this morning, watching Golden Girls though I missed the Nanny. Then I went to the bank with Dbud and we had a nice relaxing lunch on 17th street in the cool breezy sunshine. Very nice. As usual we had good talks and QT. It is amazing even after 5 years how we are still on the same wavelength and can find comfort in each other's company :-)

One weird thing did happen... a workman came over and harassed us a little bit. He asked for a cigarette (which of course we didn't have) and then asked if he could eat the 1/2 eaten tomato leftover from my sandwich. It was creepy. He was messed up on something and would not leave. He pratically begged for the tomato and I wasn't going to let him have it. I mean I suppose I could have let him eat my gross bitten-into tomato but it just didn't seem right. Sad he was that messed up.

But now I must stop frittering my free time away. I must get to the hateful taste of taping the bathroom down for painting. I told myself I needed to get this done! Those people at 3m are geniuses - at $6 bucks a roll they must make a fortune since it takes about 30 rolls to do a small area!
