Se habla proficiencia aqui...

People who say that teaching is an "easy job" have no idea how foolish their statements are... I'm also sensitive to people who think teachers don't deserve much better pay because they "get summers off" since most teachers work hundred of hours past what they are contracted for...
But just in case there was any doubt... the above is the chart for figuring out what level of ESL a an LEP (limited English proficient) child should be in... this has to be done for every single kid going into ESL and hours of testing is needed just to fill out this damn sheet.
I'm cracking away at 4 different papers due during my last week of prep class... Sorry I'm a ghost, I'm just buried in a book. ;-) Maybe Glenn has some words of advice for me. I'm all ears!
I start interning/teaching in two weeks and I drove by the high school yesterday. It is about 3x of the high school I went to and we had 1,000 kids... It is HUGE... I think the first few weeks are going to be quite the experience and while I've been assured that it will all be just fine my knees are knocking a little!
