Why I love living in the city...
It was gorgeous out today... Boo & I did our morning routine of a lazy breakfast, the Soup, Best Week Ever and cleaning up. We then went for a nice long jaunt in the sun. It was such a pleasant uneventful day...And then we saw a bunch of people dressed up like cartoon mice racing down 16th street with a shopping cart. After nearly causing about 2 major accidents and hitting a bus, a bunch of frat boys wearing mops on their heads scooted by with a different shopping cart and hooting...
And now I understand why...
They're even running by my window as I type (now I know that Shaw is the real deal - this stuff is usually only reserved for Dupont! :-)
Some people might be annoyed by overexcited college kids (seemingly NOT drunk either!) running down the street in large numbers, screaming, and pushing shopping carts (I wish I snapped a photo of the "Pope-mobile" shopping cart, complete with cardinals and nuns pulling the "pope" along!). I think it is really great!
All for charity too - city living is oft filled with violence and problems, this was a nice relief!
