A former blogoholic I have stopped the blog for now. I need to focus on teaching and living my life with my best Boo and pup! See you around the cybersphere!

I Passed Praxis II With Flying Colors!!!

Finally - after a month of waiting, I got my Praxis II scores (necessary to get my certification). I'm proud to say that I aced them :-) The passing score for DC is 520 and I got a 720 - yay me! I guess I do know my morpheme from my dipthong... (hahahaha dorky Linguistics humor)

Only like 2 more weeks of school left, I can't wait until it is over!!! I just need a break from the early morning wake-ups. When I teach summer school I won't need to be up at 5:00am... school don't start until 8:30am!!! Woo hoo!!!

In other news (and related to the pic which doubles as eye-fodder while providing wit, irony, and relevance) gay Pride season starts tomorrow! :-) As many know, I love Pride, it is my favorite time of the year. I have many reasons to love June but here are the Top 3 :

1) My birthday (***cough, cough***) is on Thursday, June 7th and always coincides with DC's gay pride week. The year that I came out, it fell exactly to the day of the parade. How appropriate - just ask TJ and Rob, they were there for that :-) Gift certificates to the LeatherRack are always appropriate! :-P

2) Boo and I will celebrate our 2 year anniversary, which coincidentally occurred on the same exact day of the gay pride parade here in DC 2 years ago. We walked home from the parade up 14th street. It was stiflingly hot and humid and then he did something nobody had ever done, grabbed my hand and held it as we walked in front of all the weirdos, drunks, freaks, and bums. **Sniff** I am one lucky man :-)

3) I am gay and I am proud. Period. I turned 5 gay years old this year and Pride 5 years ago was a real turning point for me. I am sure I will cry during the parade when the PFLAG people go by, just like I do every year. I will get chills when I see so many different gay people marching down a hot, stinky strip of blacktop with only a few silly floats, too many politicians, draq queens, dykes on bikes, radical faeries etc. I'm out and I'm proud and I am never going back in that closet again. To all those who say "Gay doesn't define me" I say this in response "I am me and I am gay. I wouldn't be one without the other. I like it that way and I'd pick it if I had the choice."

Ok I'm rambling but at least I didn't mention the bestest, cutest dog in the whole world... :-P

Congratulations! Did you actually think that you would not pass? Perhaps if the test was in Flemish I could see you getting a 520 :) Also, have I seen you since my Birthday back on 03/11? I've yet to receive my nipple clamps that you and Boo promised :)

Mega hairy muscle birthday hugs to you, TOS. I wanted to get to the front of the line to give them.

And congratulations on aceing your test. I am so very proud of you.

Don't worry about the chest hair, stud. Your sexyness more than makes up for it. Have a great one, and, as always, thanks for posting to my blog.
