And the verdict is...
Let's skip the energy-sapping stories of teaching 8 year-olds for now... Max has reminded me (thankfully) that some people actually do read this blog and care! :-)So in the verdict of Shelly's DNA test... (drumroll please)
Primary Breed: None (no breed that is more than 50% of her DNA makeup)
Secondary Breed (Breed that is less than 50%): Mastiff
In The Mix(Any other DNA identified): Labrador Retriever (duh!)
Yup so that's the verdict, pretty much what we expecte....................whaaaaaaaaaaaa?!?!Ummm, back that up... did that say, Mastiff!??!?!
Yes, you read it correctly, they say she is Mastiff.
My letter to the company shall go something like this...
Dear Canine Heritage:
ARE YOU ON CRACK!?!?!?!?!
Please wash your test tubes after each test to remove any remnant DNA.
Take it from an expert, I find a combo of Simple Green and Oxy-Clean should do the trick. It works on the sheets and even takes care of the lube stai... errr nevermind.
You're full of it, no way my 50lb beauty can be the same as a shetland-pony-like slobbering dog that is normally 175 - 200 lbs!!!... I want my $65 bucks back!
Love,
TOS
P.S. See photo evidence and make your own decision, I'm sticking with the Beagle-Lab-Golden combo when people ask. She's my baby regardless!
Labels: don't believe the hype, mastiff, shelly dna
